German Conference on Bioinformatics, Dresden, 9-12 September 2008
GCB invites the submission of papers on all aspects of bioinformatics.
This year's conference particularly invites papers pursuing a systems approach to disease. You are invited to an exciting programme with the key note speakers Michael Ashburner, Janusz Bujnicki, David Gilbert, Trey Ideker, and Marino Zerial.
GCB will feature regular papers, a poster track, a highlights track and tutorials on pathway analysis, image analysis, QTL analysis, and structure prediction.
As in previous years, it is intentended to publish up to 10 selected regular papers in the journal "Bioinformatics".
Important dates:
- Submission of Papers: May 16, 2008
- Poster abstract submission: August 1, 2008
- Early registration deadline: August 1, 2008
Papers will be published in the conference proceedings (published in the "Lecture Notes in Informatics" series of the Gesellschaft für Informatik).
Submissions will be judged by quality, originality, and relevance. The program committee may select up to ten outstanding papers for publication in Bioinformatics journal.
